I tried to submit this as a story, but bN says "malformed URL." Then I tried to put the URL in the question field, but bN says "Ridiculously long string detected in Question."

So upvote this thread and I'll post the URL in the first post or two.

I'm assuming you're talking about this case?

So, advocacy groups care about their personal asses more than the class of people they are supposed to be protecting? And we're surprised?

Yep.

Subby here. Click http://www.aspiesforfreedom.com/showthread.php?tid=11704, which is NOT a malformed URL.

My failure to care is a palpable thing.

Gist of the story: Autistic child creates spoof website saying autistic children are not necessarily mute, but can sometimes speak for themselves. Autism Speaks is suing this child for thousands of dollars for copyright infringement.

Autism Speaks has a website with the motto saying "Autism Speaks. It's time to listen." They aren't listening to the voice of the autistic child who has a little independence from them and a website to show it.

If you google the AS website, and scroll down the google page, you find they are involved mainly as a fundraising entity and they have produced a misleading film depicting families of autistic children as mentally depressed and contemplating murder.

Just saying: You all are adults, make up your own minds about this mess.
