Raising SS taxes collected, that's a tax on me.

Also here, http://newsbusters.org/blogs/jeff-poor/2008/01/09/under-pressure-cnn-obama-admits-wanting-raise-taxes

He says he will raise taxes.

I have a wacky idea, instead of raising taxes why not force the govenment to be more accountable for the money we already give them?

When I fuck up my budget I can't just ask for more money, the same should go for the govenment.

So how do we fight that? I wonder if there isn't a way to set up a non-profit tax shelter that would fund a political campaign towards the elimination of income tax.

That would be a great way to fight fire with fire.

Obama has been no slouch in this territory, according to Opensecrets. Employees of investment banking firms gave him $3.2 million; real estate companies $1.3 million; health companies, $701,993; and hedge funds $652,105.

flashlv: Blue, just an FYI, I'm not reading your posts, you constantly attack me and never want to have a real discussion, it's better if I start ignoring the usual suspects, sorry.

That's what I would expect you to say when you lose an argument. Ignore people smarter than you and then claim they they are the ones not actually discussing the subject.

And still no answer to UT's question about where you get that Obama would raise taxes more. Delicious.

flashlv: Not sure why the troll (bluegargoyle) keeps posting as is he's not trolling.

Ok. If you're giving up then you're giving up. Nobody's saying you aren't allowed to concede defeat, Flash.

So we are settled. There is no evidence that Obama will raise taxes more than Hillary. Glad we got that cleared up.

flashlv: The decision should have some emotion involved, look at the Democrats and Republicans voting straight tickets because of emotion.

Citing bad examples of decision does not make yours any better.

Emotion is very important, you have yet given me a reason to trust Obama more than Clinton.

Sure I have. You've read my posts, haven't you?

I also look at record and that's where the emotion also comes in. I look at why this or that was done. That's why I don't like Obama, there is nothing more to discuss since you think I need more to not like Obama.

I don't think you need to like Obama. I just find your lack of reasoning puzzling, at best.

flashlv: UT, I dislike Obama because he has Wright and Rezko, plus his lack of experience.

Those two are non-issues. You'd have to be daft to think they add up to anything besides mud slinging by the media.

Clinton has much more experience, and Obama will be easier to be manipulated by people with more experience.

Clinton doesn't have more experience. And she doesn't need to be manipulated because she's already in bed with special interest groups.

If you don't like my reasoning then that's okay. But it is what it is.

But you're not actually using reasoning. All you have is emotional response. And that's fine if that's how you want to make your decision. But it doesn't do much for your arguments here.

He can't answer it, that's the whole point. He realizes now he made a claim with nothing to back it up, and now he can't defend it, can't save face.

There have been a few people who I could have real meat-and-potatoes arguments with on bN, but arguing with Flash just seems like beating up a retarded baby. Far too easy to claim any meaningful victory.

I'm not holding my breath, though I will indeed be delighted if it actually happens.

I doubt Flash really wants Hillary to be president anyway- like other Republicans he just wants her to get the Democratic nomination because they assume she is more beatable, not because he really wants her to take the White House.

None of your links specified any method of totaling up the amount of taxes each candidate proposes. But given Hillary's history and campaign promises, I think it's pretty easy to realize that she's going to raise taxes higher than Obama.

Hillary does not talk as much about raising taxes, therefore tax increases under Hillary would obviously be lower. Because as we all know, politicians NEVER say one thing and yet do another. Especially when it comes to discussing taxes.
