Mostly the usual earthquakes and windstorms.
We haven't had a serious volcanic eruption in years.

bad times bad times, whatchu gonna do when they come for you
There's probably some fires and mudslides, the occasional earthquake.
The flood of 5/19-20 won't go away. The spillways are open on both reservoir dams, but it's not helping much.
Locusts, goddamn locusts
I forgot about the forest fires. So far just a couple of small ones.
We had a forest fire about 5 years ago that came close to town

I also live near Turtle Mountain, which is famous for Frank Slide(p), and people are worried that it's going to slide again.
When it goes again, it will be the left hand side of the mountain in this pic

Here's a picture from the summit where all the monitoring equipment is. I live in the town right below. We're not in any danger, it's the people on the opposite side of the mountain that are. There are about 12 houses in the path.

The government is going to install more monitoring equipment this summer

Hugo hit the Caribbean hard, at least on St. Croix. Very interesting experience, don't care to repeat it.

Obama.
Dogs and cats are living together. There is mass hysteria. Gas is $80 a gallon.
It's pretty bad over in Malabar, which is close to Daytona. The wind has been pretty intense over the past day, and it's very dry. Usual stuff. It's eaten a couple of houses over on that side, and one business. The fire people are usually pretty on top of stuff like this. There have been some pretty big fires out by me (within a mile) but they were contained quickly. The wind is supposed to be bad again tomorrow, and the humidity is supposed to drop even more. The Daytona fire is supposedly arson. It's 500 acres, which isn't too big. The Malabar fire could have started because of anything.
What was freaky is that I-95 got closed in both directions. Flames came right up and across the road. There was this huge line of cars driving through the breakdown lanes. They saw the fire, freaked out, did a u-turn. You can't cross over, so some of the cars were just going the wrong way. A few semis were.
The Daytona fire was started by some jackass in a SUV or something like that. Tossed a bag of something out of the car. Shortly afterward, fire started up. Happens all the time. Pyromaniacs and shit starting fires in the dry season like that. 50k reward, I think? Anyway, the people of Daytona would no doubt like to thank Homeland security for preventing this act of terrorism (sarcasm).

In the last 3 months we have had a tornado drop the chevy dealership on our hospital, a flood close the bridge north out of the county by lodging 3 houses on it and the worst snow storm in 15 years. During all this the power stayed on about %65 of the time(the worst being the week and a half after the tornado in which it was off for 2 weeks and the snowstorm happened, 'couse my heat is electric). On the up side FEMA which I had a low opinion to start with gave me a ham and 4 pizzas...
Oh and the national guard gave us a generator to run the courthouse... thanks for that, I'd hate to see the wheels of local government grind to a halt just because the the folks around here where freezing and starving.
A couple of Tornadoes and a lot of rain.
