Ah, for a moment there I was transported back to my youth. I loved those Star Wars figures, especially C-3PO and R2D2 when they were shiny and new.

My brother has Star Wars stuff in the basement and won't let me near it. Smart one he is ;)

"I bent my Wookie"

I like the kids that look like they're wearing Star Trek uniforms.

Was never in to the Star Wars stuff as a kid. These were my toys of choice. Wish I had saved them and the boxes they came in. I'd have an easy $20,000 worth of that stuff to ebay.

Nope, it is an "O", not a 0.

I know my Star Wars. I used to get the Bantha Tracks newsletter.

You rang?

I had C3PO and R2D2 figures as a kid, but none of the other stuff. I was more into making my own Millenium Falcon out of cardboard boxes so that I could fly it myself. My buddies and I used rubber bands guns as laser pistols and lightsabers we made ourselves out of wood. I lived out on a farm in a swampy area so Dagobah wasn't that hard to recreate.

Unfortunately, I never got to be Princess Leia even though I had the braids. My friend Matt's little sister always got to be her because she would rat us out when we did stuff we weren't supposed to like jump out of the barn loft or steal apples out of the neighbors back field (while running the bull) or throw snowballs dipped in water or stuff like that or make big bonfires and use gas or really whale on each other with those homemade lightsabers. She was a brat. I always had to be Chewbacca. Speaking of which...

I did that too. I used shoe boxes. I had top and bottom turrets made out of clear plastic drinking cups. I had various Fisher Price furniture in it. Empty thread spools for landing gear.
Mine was much more to scale than the one they sold in stores.

Unfortunately I don't have any pics. That would be so cool though. Maybe the next time I am visiting my parents I should scan some of the pictures I have of me as a little kid.

You've seen pictures of me now, right? Just imagine a smaller version with chubby cheeks and really long hair (always in braids or pigtails).

Really? You have such a cute figure now. Glad you grew out of it.

I had a bunch of stuff in the basement until a few years ago. Lots of characters, a few of the ships, action figures, posters, and newsletters. None of it was in great condition and no boxes. Sold the whole lot for $350 on ebay.
