    Don't?

It's funny, my family used to be split pretty much down the middle, now they all hate everyone. I can't remember the last time they argued about politics.

Step 1: Fuckin' DON'T. You're not going to convince them, they're not going to convince you. Discuss sports, movies, music, etc. Or just don't talk to 'em.

Don't. Who really cares what stupid crap Uncle Larry comes out with? Eat your damn mashed potatoes and talk about other stuff. Let everyone think Uncle Larry is the asshole. I bet this guys cousins call him 'Alex the Douchebag.' This also applies to arguing with your lib relatives.

By the standards of such leading intellectuals like phil_herup, I'm a libbie-lib-lib, some of those arguments are lame.

You can't win. And the more proof you present them with, the more the will cling to whatever wacky idea they picked up from faux.

I've noticed the same people tend to be religious, I think it's because they've already been trained to believe things without question.

Of course, you might have a right-wing relative who's such a complete asshole that they're totally incapable of having a single discussion without wedging politics (and their "team") into it somehow. Best to avoid them completely. If that's not possible you can try spiking their egg nog with NyQuil and waiting for 'em to pass out, visions of Limbaugh and Glenn Beck dancing in their heads.

I love to read articles where the the lefty libs try to convince themselves they are the ones who are correct.

Their ideology is filled with logical flaws and unsustainable policies that they must constantly reinforce each other they are on the right path.

Hint: If you need ridicule and ignore lists combined with hanging out with similarly minded folks in order to make it through a day, then you are probably the one with the problem. Not your "right wing releatives".

What do you argue about? That is is OK to take from the haves and dole out to the have nots? That gay marriage is the most important issue facing America? How do you defend the failed administration you voted for?

Seriously? Are you that deluded that you actually believe the lies from the left are reality and that your right wing relative is just spewing talking points from FOX News?

As every day passes your progressive ideology gets proven to be a failure worldwide, you a push to follow it anyway. You literally ignore that the Eurozone is collapsing and you dream to be more like Europe. But its the Right Wing Relative who needs help.

The need to utilize the concept of "ignore" is key there. They actually pretend that stuff does not exist or never happened. Just listen to Obama this past weekend on 60 minutes. He actually thinks he is up there with some of the best Presidents in history. Both he and his supporters exist in fantasy land.

This is a political thread and libs don't like being exposed for the frauds they are. It specially says when you strike a post that it is not to be used to eliminate something you disagree with, but is for TOS violations.

Do we need any further proof of just how closed minded these frauds are?

Well if you want to make the argument about whether there was one or three is purely academic. It does not matter, it is just typical that libs resort to such tactics quite regularly. Fact is, I have had a number of posts stricken based strictly on ideological disagreements. Your claim that I have a persecution complex is asinine, like almost all of your claims.

The difference is that he's a really educated person and is aware that this isn't the right way to argue. He has a PhD in History and ends up supporting things he really doesn't deep down.
