It's a good seven months yet. The real poll is the one in November not ones held before the primaries are even done.

I've seen analysis showing that accuracy increases fairly linearly. Once you get to about two months out, the polls are solid enough to pay attention to.

sabine: Carry unintended pregnancies to term.
Or pregnancies from rapes.
Or whether or not your insurance provider will cover birth control.
Many states still have 'Blue Laws' that regulate sales of alcohol and pornography.
Religion sticks its big nose in all sorts of public matters and shame a lot of people into complying with them.
It's time these fucks start getting called out for the hypocrites they are. Santorum's wife can get a dead fetus sucked out of her snatch but everyone else should be shamed, even if they are only 1 or 2 weeks along?

Because, at the end of the day, ALL LAW has one clear exemption. It's the wealth exemption. Even if the right go their way and abortion were 100% illegal tomorrow, they wealthy fucks who made it happen could get one for their daughter or wife if they wanted. So they don't care. Class is the only distinction worth anything.

True. Even in the old days when it was outright illegal the pregnant woman would "visit relatives" and come back nice and slim a couple days later.

This really is what it all boils down to, unfortunately.
It's what I had hoped the 99% movement was going to help address. At least begin some sort of meaningful dialog, but they got marginalized and ostracized pretty quickly.
Hopefully we only saw the beginning of the movement...

OWS never even became mainstream because the corporate owned media made damned sure it would stay marginal at best. It's why they hate the internet so much. The internet as it stands bypasses the MSM completely and allows people to get together.

The first time I actually heard a pundit say that these arguments were being started from the left, I really thought they were joking. Then I heard it again.
and again.
I can't figure out if they actually believe that the entire population is that stupid, or if they're betting that enough of them are that it will be enough to sway the election...

Wealthy republican women will get abortions, pa p smears, contraception, breast exams, etc. no matter how hard republicans make it fior everyone else. So it is a non issue to them. we will see to whom else it is a non issue. I am honestly curious

They become affordable when Medicaid covers them and/or when places like Planned Parenthood provide them. They become more affordable when they are easily accessible, and women don't have to take multiple days off work and pay for long travel and hotel accommodations because some jackass legislators have decided that she needs an ultrasound (at her expense) and a 48-hour time out to think about what a nasty slut she has been.

It is all about the money with the progressives, not "freedom" or "women's rights" or whatever. The abortions have to paid for with other peoples money and they have to be performed everywhere so women can have abortions on demand and they should never have to take a minute off work to have a surgical procedure performed. Who gives a crap that a large percentage of Americans despise abortion and do not want their tax money going towards it. Simply being legal in the US in not enough, they have to be "affordable" now.
Our great national nightmare of not having free abortions all over the country is clearly the nations biggest problem.

Such a weak left wing debate tactic. To ask for a source for things that are patently obvious. If a significant portion of the country was not against abortion why would so many politicians court their support. I also never said they were the majority either.
I can handle you with half my brain tied behind my back on this stuff.

the sonic dildo: I asked this question to pajamas twice, and she refused to answer it:
the sonic dildo: I even specifically asked you about affordable abortions and how they become affordable
At least the sabines tried:
It is all about the money with the progressives, not "freedom" or "women's rights" or whatever. The abortions have to paid for with other peoples money and they have to be performed everywhere so women can have abortions on demand and they should never have to take a minute off work to have a surgical procedure performed. Who gives a crap that a large percentage of Americans despise abortion and do not want their tax money going towards it. Simply being legal in the US in not enough, they have to be "affordable" now.
Our great national nightmare of not having free abortions all over the country is clearly the nations biggest problem.
It's almost like you don't read things.

the sonic dildo: Such a weak left wing debate tactic. To ask for a source for things that are patently obvious. If a significant portion of the country was not against abortion why would so many politicians court their support. I also never said they were the majority either.
I can handle you with half my brain tied behind my back on this stuff.
wow, another factless answer from phil, what a shocker!!
and this "weak tactic from the left" you say? This is YOUR tactic thrown right back in your face, and little philly doesn't like it
You are full of shit, as usual

HAHAHA - phil's running on empty now. Repeating shit like flashie
you DIDN'T answer my question, you posted some crap about slavery and then claimed victory, as usual, you are full of shit and you REALLY suck as this

You are saying my answer is factless? How then?
Are you going to say that there is not a significant portion of the population who is against abortion?
Really?
Your only defense is to claim my answer is "factless".

Your delusions are strong.. I never claimed victory with you either. The slavery comment went over your head obviously. It was in regards to your attempt to pretend we not living in the present.

Wake up pajamas, you are out of your league here. I think I gave more than ample opportunity to defend yourself and your points, and you chose to obfuscate instead every time.
Even now in this very post you are doing it.

What I don't get is the insane cognitive dissonance of it. "As a republican voter, I want to live in a world where most women, especially those who are poor, have little or no access to family planning of any kind because I think that's going to make for a better world"
baron while you are digging up facts, try to remember that "significant" does not imply "majority"

It's pointless to talk to you when you ignore everything that doesn't fit your worldview. So let's just wait and see how the party of Rush Limbaugh and Newt Gingrich does with women voters.

the sonic dildo: OK, who said that?
Your entire party. What do you think is going to happen when you battle reproductive services, women's health initiatives an contraception for years. There are places across the country where we see the results of this. Big expansive areas without service providers where access to contraception is iffy. What the fuck do you think is going to happen?

You say this everytime, its ridiculous. I have already told you my worldview is pro-abortion, yet you choose to avoid debate and defense of your points and keep trying to paint me as a social conservative. It is not going to work. You have resorted to this tactic quite a few times in this thread.
pajamas: So let's just wait and see how the party of Rush Limbaugh and Newt Gingrich does with women voters.
I guess we will. Will women decide that free abortions will feed their families and fill their gas tanks and clothe their children and vote for the party that will push abortions instead of the economy.

Unreal.

here's what you said: Who gives a crap that a large percentage of Americans despise abortion
see how you didn't say significant and said LARGE PERCENTAGE
implying larger than the other side?

This is unfortunately true. It is painful, though, to watch Santorum explain how contraception is bad for society.

pajamas: You really don't know? Or you don't care?
That is the point you decided to answer?
What don't I know? How the vote in November is gonna go? No one does. You are betting that social issues will override the economic, as all Democrats are. (Which is why the Democrats are trying to start this whole issue with contraception)
This election is not going to be about social issues, but expect to see the Dems trying to enact regulations to keep the issues on the burner.
It is going to be a referendum on Obama and the Democrats. It is going to be about the Economy and the Energy Policy (or Obama's lack of an energy policy)
Now what don't I care about?

the sonic dildo: I keep asking you to defend them buy pointing out laws and rights are already in place.
*Cough*
How many Repub women are fans of the "In YOUR vagina" project? I'd bet fewer than you'd like. Have you not heard of a little state named Virginia, and their brand new shiny "Shove things IN YOUR VAGINA!" law, all signed into law & stuff? No?
Perhaps you are unaware of Mitt Romneys position on "person-hood".

Also;
Yesterday, a Senate Judiciary Committee endorsed Republican Debbie Lesko's HB2625 by a vote of 6-2, which would allow an employer to request proof that a woman using insurance to buy birth control was being prescribed the birth control for reasons other than not wanting to get pregnant.

That's right! Your owner, oops I mean employer, needs to know just what you are up to in that bedroom of yours!
They are paying you, so they get to know everything about you!

No I don't. At least I have the intellectual honesty and ability to debate you, which is something I think you may be lacking in. You are becoming one of those libs who throws bombs into conversations and wont back up her shit.
You think my post regarding the upcoming election, and how the priorities are going fall makes me living in strange reality? You are the one who thinks free BCPs is going to be a higher priority for women than money in their pocketbook, gas in their tanks and a job.
.., and according to you I am the one who "lives in a really strange world"
Question: Do you ever get tired of being completely smacked around intellectually by someone you consider living outside of reality and disagree so much with ideologically?
