Really sounds like he tackled or laid hands on the kid, and the kid exercised his rights in light of Zimmerman's assault.

Seriously, Zimmerman had a very fucked up tone in his call. He sounded like he identified a culprit in his own mind and wasn't gonna let him get away, period. Zimmerman couldn't find trouble so he made his own, and it's astonishing he has yet to be sent up the river. I think he inevitably will be. There's too much national heat for a three horse and a stoplight town like Sanford FL

Yep, this new 9/11 tape is pretty damning. Plus there are witnesses, plus the fact this asshole chased down a kid, assaulted him, and then shot him because he "looked" suspicious, even though he was doing nothing wrong. If he doesnt get arrested he damn well better move and change his name otherwise street justice might show up. And all you have to do is say "he was coming right for us" and its not like the cops cant say that wasnt a valid defense if they dont arrest him.

flashlv: Does the law allow someone to defend themselves? Does it say you cannot chase the person?

    YES.

    STAND YOUR GROUND.

NOT MOVE YOUR GROUND AFTER SOMEBODY.

IT'S EVEN IN THE GODDAMN WORDS FLASH

flashlv: Would look bad for Zimmerman, but still doesnt show his state of mind. You can blame the stand your ground law for that.

State of mind doesn't matter if it is not a reasonable position. If I'm terrified of clowns and someone comes at me with a bannination sticker and I think they are trying to kill me, I can't just kill them because I felt terrified.

valaru: In a court of law, he wasn't even arrested.

Why? Because the evidence doesn't show reasonable doubt.

You can't arrest people because of public outrage.
