Cool cheap small computer. Is it worth a damn to look into this?
Not if you're going to get all huffy in the queue it's not!
Cool, yes. For the price? Damn worth it.
Please. I beg you to buy one. Hell, I would almost buy you one because five minutes after receiving one of these in the mail, you will be submitting another discussion thread declaring "Linux suxxxxx!" because you could not figure out how to connect the thing to your tv.
But can it run Crysis in full res?

Well, that was one thing I was wondering about. The only video out is HDMI? So... you can ONLY plug it into a tv?

Consider that today's smartphones use something like a dual core 2GHz A5 processor and look at their performance. It isn't terrible but it's not exactly the speediest thing in the world. Then realize that a 700MHz ARM will be around half the performance.

It is not suitable for you. Save up your money and give tribute to Lord Jobs like you are intended to do.
It runs Fedora and there's a package to install VLC, but the installation thereof is something that requires at least the brains of an 8 year old child, and accordingly is far far beyond your competency.

That is, graphics capabilities are roughly equivalent to Xbox 1 level of performance. Overall real world performance is something like a 300MHz Pentium 2, only with much, much swankier graphics.
